Why This Guide Exists
Traditional printed directories faded, while the records behind them remained with separate custodians. Ownership is maintained by the Boone County PVA and County Clerk. Voter information follows Kentucky law. Historical material is spread across the Boone County Public Library, historical organizations, and state archives. We bring Florence search routes, office contacts, documented coverage, and access limits into one reference while leaving every original record with its official custodian.
What the Guide Includes
- Pages by angle: the street directory (address-keyed records), the city directory (the historical shelf), and the resident lookup (one-person searches)
- The rolls and offices: assessor, recorder, elections office, court clerk, vital records, the library's local history collection
- Walkthroughs: how to trace who lives on a street, how to read a directory entry, how to follow a household across the decades
- Access rules: what Kentucky law opens, what stays closed, and how a records request works when something is not online
What We Cannot Provide
This is a privately run reference site, not part of the City of Florence, Boone County, Kentucky government, any court, or any library. These limits apply:
- We cannot confirm whether a specific person currently lives in Florence
- We cannot pull, certify, or change any record on your behalf
- We cannot add anyone to, or remove anyone from, any roll or database
- We cannot give legal advice about a record or a dispute
- We cannot promise that every coverage year, link, or office detail here is current at this moment
Only the custodian office can confirm, certify, or correct a record. Nothing found through this site may be used for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions.
